Job Info

Maintains computing environment by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance. Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting a company’s computer systems. Designs and installs LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments.

Job Responsibilities:   

• Actively checks and address any network-related issues that may arise.
• Ensure that issues are addressed in an appropriate fashion with timely follow-up.
• Facilitate communication with service providers and business partners for cases that requires their assistance.
• Learn and generate network reports.
• Maintain the Enterprise IT networking services (VPN, IPS, NAC, routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, VoIP servers) including designing, implementing and supporting network-related incidents and projects as required.
• Provide voice, chat, and e-mail support for network-related issues, inquiries, requests, and projects.
• Provide documentation on all MACs (Move, Add, and Change) that transpires in the network.
• Provide weekend support in the event that an emergency arises.
• Render weekend work, on a scheduled basis, in order to address any network-related or basic systems-related issues.
• Responsible for the configuration and maintenance of network voice, routing, switching, security, and VPN technologies of our customers, which mainly involves the following devices:

1. Cisco Meraki
2. Cisco Enterprise Routers and Switches (89x, 19xx, 29xx w/ CUCME, Catalyst 29xx, 35xx, 36xx, 45xx)
3. Cisco Enterprise Firewalls (ASA5505, ASA5510)
4. Cisco Enterprise Access Points (WLC, Aironet 1142, etc.)
5. Cisco Small Business Devices (SA520, UC5xx, ESW-xx)
6. Non-Cisco Routers (Sonicwall)
7. Cisco VPN Client / Cisco Anyconnect
8. Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CUCME) / Cisco Unity Express (CUE)

Job Requirements:

•  At least a College/Bachelor’s Degree; Computer Engineering, IT, or any related course (Electronics Engineering or IT degree is a plus)
• Has a good verbal and written English communication skills
• Has the ability to communicate technical info to a non-technical person
• Can work under time pressure with minimal supervision
• Certification in Windows, Cisco, or Symantec is a big plus
• Ability to become the ultimate team-player: Does well and peers well with the team, while still being able to perform well individually
• Knowledge of Network Performance Tuning, LAN Knowledge, Network Design and Implementation
• Problem Solving, Strategic Planning, Multi-tasking, Quality Focus, Coordination, Technical Understanding, Quick Study
• Can work on different shifts and occasional scheduled weekend shifts
• Capability to provide on-call support during escalations and emergencies
• Capability to render overtime during events that require backup restoration.
