What’s the role?

An exciting opportunity to engage across the whole spectrum of aircraft, from civil to general aviation, defence, and some industrial lubricant markets where specialist aviation lubricants are needed.  To be the customer facing technical focal for Aviation Lubricants in the Asia, Asia Pacific, and Middle East Region.

This is an exciting opportunity working in a global team adding value to the bottom line for the AeroShell business. The role will provide front line technical support to customers to help trouble shoot their lubricant issues.  This is a truly broad role with an opportunity to develop as an aviation lubricants subject matter expert.  Once you are trained the role will include the creation and delivery of product training and coaching of our distributor sales network to improve their knowledge of the aviation lubricants product portfolio.  In a supporting role the Regional Technical Manager will help to gain the required AeroShell product approvals and be the customer facing focal and lead for AeroShell product quality. As a Regional Technical Manager APME, your key accountabilities include the following:

Own and drive key account technical value:

  • Support and secure technical partnership with internal sales and OEM Managers

  • Provide front line technical support to customers and sales staff including problem solving, troubleshooting and application advice.  This may be pro-active in-line with sales/marketing efforts or reactive to customer requests.

  • Be responsible for customer facing technical product quality

Project work

  • Lead and support the creation of technical customer value propositions by providing technology leadership and understanding how AeroShell lubricants are used.

  • Be the focal for in region specification management.

  • Team functional work for process efficiency and operations

Knowledge and training

  • Subject matter expert for AeroShell and provide technical input to the AeroShell internal team.

  • Build the technical capability of partner distributors, sales staff in the region and Customer Operations and Technical Help Desk organization.

  • Minimum degree in Aviation Technology or equivalent.

  • Relevant experience of working in an aviation environment and strives to be team player, coach, teacher, and subject matter expert.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, mandarin would be an advantage.
