A Product Owner to manage and oversee the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the clients’ needs and preferences. Product Owner main duties include determining the overall vision of products, managing various backlog items and deciding which features each product will have according to clients’ preferences. The Product Owner will collaborate with a team of software engineers to generate/maintain detailed requirements to ensure the product meets evolving client and industry needs.
The Product Owner will own, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog and will be responsible for delivering against the product roadmap and corporate vision.
Technical Product Owner Responsibilities:
• Inherit full and detailed knowledge of specific products
• Research clients’ needs to determine which features to include on products pitch ideas for product features to stakeholders.
• Act as the primary contact between the development, management, marketing, and sales teams as well as external experts and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multiple parties to ensure the products meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients
• Represent clients’ needs to the internal teams and the product’s capabilities to clients and other external parties.
Technical Product Owner Qualifications:
• In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management
• Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies
• Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
• Strong background with enterprise and B2B software applications
• Experience with B2B or B2C SaaS products
- Proficiency with applicable project management tools and technology
- 5 or more years of experience in Product Owner or similar role in product management
• Certified in Product Management practices
• BS in Computer Science, Information System, Engineering or similar relevant field
